With such a short duration you want to make the most out of it?… Right! Who doesn’t?

“So you are trusting someone worthy.”
Okay, so in this post, I will precisely tell you, only “The Best” places to visit in Jaipur in one day and must try food in the pink city such that they fall in between or places near to you are going to visit. So that it doesn’t consume much time.
Let’s jump into it:
Places To Visit In Jaipur In One Day: Explore Like the Locals
Pro Tip: Start early
1. Nahargarh Fort – Shoot For The Sunrise
Nahargarh Fort is located somewhat 6-7 km from the main city.
And I can’t tell you a better place than Nahargarh in whole Rajasthan, to witness the Sunrise.
The view of Jaipur city from here is unbelievably fascinating, and that’s one of the reasons why the locals call it the “Most Happening Place of Jaipur“.

Don’t worry if you are not a morning person just like me, the night view is no less, filled with illuminating houses twinkling your eyes.
Nahargarh Fort is a must visit in your one-day itinerary of Jaipur.
2. Amer Fort – Where Royalty Lies
As you have one only one day to explore Jaipur, the next place you should be heading to is Amer Fort.
As it is located only 3-4km from Nahargarh Fort.
I have seen almost all the famous forts in Rajasthan and I found Amer Fort to be the most beautiful as well as the best maintained amongst all. They even have a CCD inside.
Sheesh Mahal and the artistic painting on the walls are a treat to the eyes.
(As I told you I will be telling you only the best places to visit in Jaipur in one day, so you can afford to miss Jaigarh Fort just above Amer Fort. It is just not worth with such time limits. Trust me and you will thank me later.)
3. Masala Chowk: Hunt For the Hunger
By the time you explore these places, you will be hungry as hell.
Don’t end up eating fast food outside Amer Fort.
Masala Chowk is one of the best innovations that Jaipur has done by far. It is located 8-9 Km from Amer Fort near Ajmeri Gate.
It is a place, where all the famous street food joints from Jaipur is available under one single roof.
You wouldn’t want to miss this “one of its kind place” for food lovers in your one day Jaipur tour.
Do try Gulabji Chaiwala here.

4. Albert Hall
Now, you have had some food in your tummy. It’s time to explore the Pink City again.
Just at a walking distance from Masala Chowk, you will find this mysteriously attractive and a bit horrifying building with lots of pigeon in front of it.
The name is Albert Hall.
It was actually made to welcome the Prince of Wales and after that, it was converted into a museum.
It is good for photography and history buffs will surely love it.
Oh! did I forget to tell it also houses Mummies From Egypt? (And They look very scary though)
Do make time to visit this gorgeous building in your hunt to explore Jaipur in one day.
5. City Palace
City Palace is truly one of the most popular places to visit in Jaipur in one day but it is slightly overpriced.
So if you are not in a mood to pay Rs250 for an entry ticket you can skip it and head for Jantar Mantar.
6. Jantar Mantar:
Just a few meters away from City Palace, Jantar Mantar is located carrying its scientific significance.
It is one of the five astronomical observatories in India and also the biggest one of them.
You should hire a guide to understand, how and what the structures here actually means.
And you will be mindblown by the advancement these bygone Rulers had during that period of time.
(Please Note: If you follow this One Day Jaipur Itinerary from the start, you will be in Jantar Matar by 1-2 pm and that is the best time to visit it. When the sun is out you will actually learn how these instruments were used)
7. Rawat Mishthan Bhandar: Time For Some Authentic Rajasthani Dish.
It is time to fill your tummy again…
Well, if you have done a little bit of research about Jaipur’s most famous food, it is obvious that Rawat Misthan Bhandar must have come across you.
It is widely famous for its, Mawa Kachori but it is not advisable to have it in lunch. You can get it packed for your evening snack.
One of their other delicious dishes is Dal Baati Churma.
Not so costly yet so yummy Dal Baati Churma at Rawat will make you a fan of Rajasthan’s authentic food.
8. Lassi At Lassiwala – Heavenly Drink
Pay Attention here: I am warning you…
You can’t leave Jaipur without tasting this excessively yummylicious Lassi At Lassiwala on M.I Road and regret your lifetime.
Make sure to go there before 3 PM because they don’t serve after that.
They have been serving Lassi even before Independence and seeing their enormous success many low-quality stores have also opened neighboring them with the same name.
You need to Look for this Shop – Lassiwala since 1944 Kishan Lal Govind on 312 M.I Road
9. Jal Mahal
There is no point in going to Jal Mahal during the afternoon, so I have saved it for the evening when the sun is not that prominent.
Watch this beauty right in the middle of Man Sagar Lake showering its charm in all direction.
Jal Mahal is a 5 storey Palace, out of which 4 are immersed within the water.
During Evening this place becomes quite lively with lots of small vendors serving different street foods, lots of local people, camels and horses waiting for you to ride them.
You can even get a photoshoot in Rajasthani Dress here with Jal Mahal in the background.
Wouldn’t you like that? Of course, you will…
Jal Mahal is an iconic place to visit in Jaipur in one day.
10. Hawa Mahal – Palace of Winds
You must be wondering, why have I kept Hawa Mahal such low in my list of places to visit in Jaipur in one day?
I will get onto that later, but first, let me tell you some facts about Hawa Mahal.
Hawa Mahal is the biggest building in the world without a base, it has 953 small windows (jharokhas) that makes it what it is “The Palace of Winds”.
It was made for the royal ladies to see the everyday life and festivals as they were not allowed to be seen by commoners.
It remains open till 6 pm on weekdays And 5 pm on weekends.
11. Cafe Wind View – Hunt For The Perfect View Of Hawa Mahal
So, now once you have explored Hawa Mahal from Inside, this is the time to tell you why I have saved Hawa Mahal for the evening.
Because After Sunset, Hawa Mahal is illuminated and sprinkles its real beauty.
Cafe Wind View provides the best view of Hawa Mahal, and you can try different shakes, cardamom tea and Hawa Mahal for a view here.
One of the best places to visit in Jaipur in one day.
Just Ask any local about this cafe.
Note: Now there are two things you can do to give your one-day Jaipur trip a happy ending. Choose whichever you feel suits you best.
12.1 Chokhi Dhani: For the True Rajasthani Vibe
It’s time you should get to see some real Rajasthani lifestyle.
This village resort is all themed up in ethnic Rajasthani style. You get to enjoy Kalbeliya dance style and also dance on the beats of Khartal.
Chokhi Dhani is the perfect place to make a Rajasthani happy ending to your one day trip in Jaipur.
It is located a bit outskirts to Jaipur on Kota-Jaipur highway.
Well if shopping is your thing hit the Bazzars(Market)of Jaipur by the evening and it will keep you entertained till late at night.
Right from ethnic wears to Mojri (a handcrafted leather footwear) and beautiful bangles you are going to find every other item that you will go crazy for in the markets of Jaipur.
(Pro tip: Please don’t go shopping during the time you are exploring the pink city, because once you enter it. It will consume at least 3-4 hours that’s not wise to do when you only have 1 day in Jaipur, most of the historical places shut after 6 pm that’s when you step into the market)
